A Mexican museum devoted to graphic arts
Among the museums of Mexico there are great collections of art, archaeology and history. The MUNAG holds a particular place: it is the museum devoted to the graphic arts, that is, to everything involved in printing images and texts.
Its route runs from pre-Hispanic Mexico, with clay stamps and amate bark beaters, to the colonial era, with the first printing press in the Americas; from independent Mexico and the Porfiriato, with lithography and Posada's graphics, to the Revolution and the 20th century.
It is a different way of telling the country's history: through the objects people used to communicate, to pray, to spread propaganda, to play and to make others laugh.
