A graphic arts collection in Mexico

This graphic arts collection in Mexico was built from Mexican pieces and also from objects brought from Europe and the United States that were used in the country's workshops: presses, type, gilding tools and machines.

Its strength lies in what is Mexican: colonial imprints in Indigenous languages, vocabularies and doctrines, religious engravings, 19th-century political cartoons, playing cards made in Mexico and the popular graphics of Posada and Manilla.

Organized in seven rooms, it traces the country's history through its graphic production, from Mexica stamps to 20th-century graphics.

Below, a selection of pieces from different periods.
