Coats of arms of Guadalajara
Anonymous artist
Printed on paper. Book leaves with the coat of arms of Guadalajara, granted "by His Majesty Don Felipe III", and the coat of arms of Durango, granted by the King of Spain in the 17th century with the title of city. The coat of arms of Durango is a replica of that of Biscay, Spain. The coat of arms of Guadalajara is Spanish in form and symbolizes the nobility and lordship of the city, virtues the Spanish Crown recognized in the labors and dangers its residents endured in its conquest and settlement.
